Using Attributes and Colours

Here I am showing how we can use pattern attributes to display objects using different colours. We are using an attribute called ROOM_USE to display objects using that attribute and assigning a colour to each different type of ROOM_USE.

Layer Control

This is a short tutorial on using the Layer Control facility within the system. Each 'pattern'object has a number of attributes, one of which is known as the 'layer'of the object. This is typically stored as attribute #1 in objects, with attribute #0, typically storing the name of the object.

Menus and Toolbars

Quick introduction to using menus and access toolbars within the system. It is also the first video created with CAMTASIA 2020. Lots to learn, but making progress! 

Basic Zooming and panning in 2D

This is a quick video showing the various functions in the system to zoom and pan around a drawing in 2D mode. It is also a test to see if we can use CAMTASIA for the production of these videos. This was done using a 30 day trial version of their product. Seems good!

Construction Geometry

Short tutorial on creating an object using construction geometry and inking in using the geometry as a guide in creating an object. It is then hatched.

Area Fills with gradients and transparency

Herewith a quick tutorial using the Area Parameter Set function to adjust the various options available in terms of area fill colours and transparency. 

Editing Text with Justification and word wrapping

This is a short tutorial on the use of advanced text and add the ability to word wrap a block of text entered. It can be justified (left, centre and right).

Advanced Text Editing

Here is a short tutorial on advancted text editing within genes1s CAD. I have loaded a drawing, which already had some text in it, and then use the system to edit the text, changing things like the font, colour, size and other characteristics of the text. There are two types of advanced text available - one based on RTF (Rich Text Format) and the other on AutoCAD MTEXT format.

Event Management

Herewith a quick video showing the event management system available. This is acting behind the scenes to allow different components in the system to interact with changes made in other parts of the system. It does provide for a powerful user experience.

3D Zooming and Panning

We have not had a lot of time to update information about genes1s CAD, but I want to start adding some videos on some of the features available within the system. This will also act as a reference source for users that want to learn more about the system. Here is a video showing some of the zooming and panning controls within the 3D part of the system.
